'Go' kanjiPicture Leicester Go Club

Affiliated to the British Go Association

Please note that there will be no meeting on February 19 (2009).

The Club meets at Mayfield, Station Road, Kirby Muxloe, Leics LE9 2EN. The entrance to the house is opposite Towers Drive. Here is a small-scale map showing the location of the Club, and here is a larger scale map showing its location to the west of Leicester. From the north you are recommended to come off the M1 at Junction 22 (A511) then take the A511 towards Leicester. Turn right onto the A46 then come off at the first exit and follow signs to Kirby Muxloe.

The club meets every Thursday, from about 7:45. If you want further details, try 07968 363905 or 07798 825299.

Tournaments

The Club organises a regular tournament in June each year. Congratulations to David Ward (4 dan, Cambridge) for winning the 2008 tournament, to Hui Wang (4 dan) of Nottingham for winning the 2007 tournament, to Simon Shiu (4 dan, Bristol) for winning the 2003 and 2006 tournaments, and to Zixin Wu (4 dan, Nottingham) for winning the 2004 tournament. The Tournament was not held in 2005. Here is a complete list of winners of the annual tournament held by the club.
