THIS DECLARATION OF TRUST
is made the day of April 2001 between SIMON THOMAS FRAMPTON GOSS of 4, Butler Road, Crowthorne, Berks RG45 6QY (hereinafter called "The Settlor" and PETER TOBY MANNING of 7 Oak Tree Close, Leamington Spa, Warws CV32 5YT, SUSAN ANNE PATERSON of 1 Town Quay, River Road, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 9DF and FRANCIS MICHAEL ROADS of 61 Malmesbury Road London E18 2NL(together called "the Trustees") which expression shall include the Trustees for the time being of this deed.
1. In this deed the following terms shall have the following meanings:
"Charity" means the charity established by this deed
"Trust Fund" means and includes all money and real and personal property now or at any time held by the Trustees for the purposes of the Charity
"Charitable Purposes" means the teaching, development and playing of go among Young Go Players
"Young Go Players" means all those persons who are learning or playing go within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, and who are either
2. The Settlor establishes the Charity and the Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund on the trusts of this deed.
3. The name of the Charity shall be the "Castledine-Barnes Trust".
4. The objects of the Charity are to provide instruction in go to Young Go Players either individually or in clubs leagues or other associations (including the provision of go boards, stones, clocks and other appropriate equipment, and books, magazines and other educational material relating to go) and to promote go tournaments, matches and competitions in which Young Go Players or teams of Young Go Players shall take part (including the provision of accommodation, equipment and supervising personnel, travelling and other expenses of the Young Go Players, and prizes).
5. The Settlor has paid the sum of Ten Pounds to the Trustees for the purposes of the Charity and the Trustees may collect and receive additional sums of money for the purposes of the Charity in such lawful manner as they think fit.
6. The Trustees shall have the same unrestricted power of investing and changing investments (including investments not producing income) as they would have if they were beneficially entitled to the Trust fund.
7. The Trustees may for 21 years from the date of this deed or such other period as is permitted by law accumulate all or any of the Charity’s income by investing it and shall hold the accumulations as an addition to the Trust Fund
8. The power of appointing new or additional Trustees of the Charity shall be vested in the existing Trustees
9. The Trustees may distribute the whole of the Trust Fund in accordance with Clause 4 at any time.
